6 months

I have been writing this blog for 6 months already! When I started I was not sure I could post every week and not sure I had anything worth saying. But I had always wanted to write… so I started.

I have shared some of what we have learned in our fostering journey, both official and organic. I have shared my thoughts on life and how we live. I have shared stories about the kids we have the privilege of having in our home. I have shared my thoughts and revelations about the other mother and tried to see her with compassion.

Almost 100 of you have chosen to follow me on this journey! Thank you!

Could I ask a favour of you? As I continue I would like to know what you think!

What was your favourite post?

What would you like to see more of?

What questions about fostering would you like me to answer?

What can I do to keep you coming back…or to encourage you to share this with others?

Please comment or send me a message. Your feedback will shape the next 6 months. I committed to do this for a year and I’d like to do it well.

So I want to say “Thank you!” for choosing to read what I say each week. There is a lot of stuff out there that you can engage with, I appreciate you reading mine.

In the midst of the mess

  1. I really enjoy your posts, I look forward to reading about your own self discovery as you and Mike navigate the nurturing of the lives you have been entrusted with. I also love that you talk of the other Mother with positivity and hope and kindness. Keep up the good work.

  2. I just love your honest reflections. I’ve only experienced the world of fostering from the outside looking in and your stories invite us in to what this world is truly like. I’m hoping it will inspire others to join you in this journey.
